We are currently recruiting an experienced MIG & TIG Welder for a company in the South Tamworth area, well accessible from Lichfield, Nuneaton, Coventry and North Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading manufacturing business involved in a range of sectors, including automotive, construction and rail. 

Ideally we are looking for motivated and experienced Welders, with experienced in MIG and TIG applications handling both stainless steel and aluminium products.

Main responsibilities include:

- Interpret Technical Documentation: Read and accurately interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and project specifications to determine exact welding requirements and layout.
- Prepare and Align Materials: Source, measure, and cut metal components to the required dimensions. This includes cleaning, grinding, and aligning parts using clamps or rulers to ensure stability before welding.
- Execute Precision Welding: Set up and operate welding equipment (such as MIG, TIG, or arc welders) to fuse metal parts in various positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead, according to specified techniques.
- Conduct Quality Inspections: Visually inspect all completed welds for flaws, cracks, or surface defects to ensure they meet strict quality and safety standards.
- Maintain Equipment and Safety Standards: Perform routine maintenance on welding tools and strictly adhere to health and safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

In order to be successful for our Welder position, you must have the following attributes:

- Minimum of 12 months experience in both MIG and TIG welding
- Good timekeeping and attendance record
- Willingness to get involved in other metal prep and machine support duties

Hours of work will be: 0700am - 1600pm Monday to Thursday, 0700am-1200pm Fridays

Rate of pay: Ranging £15.50 - £16.50 depending on experience
