Join a leading UK bank on a remote contract supporting critical mainframe systems. We’re looking for a hands-on z/OS Systems Programmer to maintain, upgrade, and optimise a complex enterprise environment.
The role will involve:
- Supporting and upgrading z/OS and core mainframe tooling - Managing IBM & CA (Broadcom) products - Handling production issues & system improvements - Supporting deployments, testing, and configuration - Joining an on-call rota for out-of-hours changes
To apply you should have the following skills and experience:
- Strong mainframe systems programming background - Experience with: z/OS, SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, USS, SDSF, JCL - IBM & CA product knowledge - Excellent troubleshooting + communication skills - Experience in regulated environments (ideally banking/FS)
Nice to haves: Assembler, REXX, GDPS, automation, Top Secret, Omegamon / RMF / SMF / SAS
Inside IR35 PAYE (no umbrella fees of employers NI deductions) - Fully Remote (must be UK based) - Immediate start preferred.
