Duties vary widely but can include:

• Develop and deliver engaging English lessons that align with curriculum standards.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Use formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor student learning and growth.
• Offer timely and specific feedback that highlights strengths and areas for improvement, guiding students toward academic success.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Cultivate a passion for literature by using a variety of literary genres and authors.
• Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance learning experiences and promote digital literacy.
• Establish clear expectations for behaviour and academic performance, fostering a positive and respectful classroom culture
• Encourage collaboration and peer interaction through group work, cooperative learning activities, and inclusive discussions

The Successful candidate will have:

• Current valid DBS or the willingness to obtain one
• Hold QTS / PGCE or the equivalent (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
• Prior experience of working within the education sector
• Good knowledge of the English curricular
• Ability to commute to Great Missenden and the surrounding areas
