Gas Engineer

St Austell - Cornwall 

£38,491 per annum plus excellent benefits

 
My client who is looking for a Domestic Gas Engineer to join their team. The work will involve Services, Repairs, and Maintenance.  The main office is based on the outskirts of St Austell with the work covering up to the North Coast and towards Redruth. The role will come with a fully equipped van, fuel card, laptop and mobile. There is an immediate start and if you are newly qualified with a Gas Ticket additional training can be provided to gain experience and progress within the company. 
 

The role:-

Carrying out annual gas services / repairs.*
Accurate completion of Gassafe. certificates and other documentation including reporting of defects.*
Ensuring all works carried out in line with gas regulations and in compliance with relevant H&S legislation, policy and safe working practices.*
Ensuring any appointments for works are made and kept.
Able to work alone or as part of a team and using own initiative.
Work in occupied properties and liaise with tenants during the course of the works undertaken.
To use and be responsible for allocated mobile devices.
To attend and fully participate in training, 1-2-1’s, toolbox talks and appraisals.
To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required.

 
What you will need:-

Clean and full driving licence.*
Current CCN1/CPA1/CKR1/HTR1/WAT1/CEN gas qualifications.*
Relevant City & Guilds or NVQ.*
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Strong verbal, written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
High level IT literacy and keen adopter of digital technology and flexible working methods.You will require a full driving licence and a DBS check will also need to be done.
