PRIMARY TEACHER - KS2

Location: Watford   


Salary: MPS ( £31,350 - £42,689)

September 2024 Start 

  

Supply Desk are currently recruiting for a KS2 Primary Teacher to join a local primary school within the Watford area. The school prides themselves on providing the best learning for their pupils and has excellent support structure and an attractive working culture. You will also be supported by an experienced teaching assistant who has a wealth of intervention experience, which will help you with supporting pupils with their learning.

The School:

A primary school located in Watford with a friendly and family like feel where everyone including pupils and staff are encouraged to look after each other. It is an inclusive environment where all backgrounds, individual needs and faiths are welcomed and celebrated. The school is Ofsted rated good and academic results across all key stages are above average. The schools mission is to make every family feel part of the community and to develop happy pupils who love to learn.

 

The Job:

  • Planning lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Manage classroom behaviour positively and adhere to school policies
  • Uphold school safeguarding procedures
  • Deliver outstanding teaching and learning and therefore help students achieve excellent academic results and increase attainment levels
  • Encourage an engaging and positive learning environment 
  • Provide opportunities for recaps as well as stretch and challenge
  • Track data consistently to ensure progress is made

 

The ideal KS2 Primary Teacher:

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE, B.Ed. or a BA Hons, or equivalent
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK
  • Have at least 6 months school based experience in a UK Primary School setting
  • Positive classroom management and strong pupil engagement 
  • Innovative, proactive teaching style.
  • Previous experience of teaching in a Primary school setting.
  • Previous experience is preferred along with an excellent teaching manner. 
  • The post is long term, starting from September Working within a two-form entry school, with excellent resources. 
  • You will work with a constructive SLT who enable your personal growth.
