NHS Laundry Operative

Manpower is recruiting Laundry Operatives to work on behalf of our public sector client, the NHS.

Location: Exeter

Job type: Temporary, duration ongoing

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8.00 am - 4.00 pm. Overtime shifts are Saturdays and Sundays 6.00 am - 2.00 pm

Hourly rate: Weekdays £11.45 | Saturdays £16.14 | Sundays & Bank Holidays £20.95

The Role

As a Laundry Operative, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the laundry facility. You will be responsible for ensuring all items are processed to the required quality standards and delivered "on-time" while maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of all staff.

Responsibilities:

• Operate industrial laundry equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the laundry facility
• Adhere to quality and productivity standards
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an ancillary or factory role preferred, but not essential as full training provided
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads
• Willingness to complete mandatory training modules prior to starting
• An understanding of health and safety
• Basic literacy and communication skills
