We are currently recruiting for Refuse and Garden Waste Operatives to carry out duties on behalf of Plymouth City Council.
We are looking for a number of candidates for full time, temporary ongoing positions for the season (until November 2024) with an hourly rate of £12.18 per hour. Standard hours of work are 06.30-16.15pm Monday to Thursday from Prince Rock Depot and it is essential you would be able to commit to this.
Duties will include: " Loading & unloading garden/refuse bins in the Plymouth area " Working in a fast-paced environment " Lots of manual handling " Outdoor working (In all weathers)
The ideal candidate will: " Have experience in working outdoors " Previous council/local authority work is advantageous however not essential. " Be physically capable to carry out tasks in a safe and effective manner " Be a motivated team player
The main depot is a great plymouth central location, with on-site parking, a canteen and shower facilities.
All suitable applicants will be required to attend a mandatory induction session where if successful a start date will then be provided.
